County Kerry Adventures

This website is not yet another travel blog and not just tourist information. It was created to promote outdoor activities along west coast of County Kerry, Ireland. It is not a commercial site and there will be no advertising and all the links to local businesses are only intended to help the readers of this website – visitors and locals alike – to make it easier for them to enjoy their favorite activities.

You will not only find hopefully interesting stories about Adventures, visualized with many photos, videos and maps, to give you ideas and show the beauty of nature. There will also be structured information to help you find the best spots for your activities on the Water and on Land, places to rent equipment or get guiding, tours to follow on your own and background information about interesting Places.

Gerhard

My name would be Gearóid if I would not just be a blow-in from Austria who retired to the Gaeltacht area of Corca Dhuibhne, which is the Irish name for the Dingle Peninsula. I officially moved here from Vienna, Austria with my American wife Clarice on the December 24th, 1919.

I was always hoping that someday I could live permanently near an ocean where I could enjoy my favorite watersports. After reading that the Dingle Peninsula is perfect for kitesurfing I decided to have a look and first visited Ireland in 2015. And I immediately fell in love with the Wild Atlantic Way an especially the part of it along the coastline of County Kerry.
